Quickstart: charge AI crawlers

This quickstart is for site and content owners: your pages are already being read by AI crawlers for free, and you’d rather they paid. You don’t need to be technical — if you can edit DNS records (or use one of the platform installs), you can do this.

What you’ll end up with

Your domain, exactly as it is for humans and search engines — but AI agents that arrive get either a signpost to your paid catalog or a per-page toll, your choice. Money settles in USDC straight toward your wallet. If Superspice is ever down, your site serves normally — the shield fails open.

1. Create your account

Sign up at superspice.xyz/sign-up (Google or email) and set the wallet address your earnings should reach — any Base address you control. See Payouts if you’re deciding what to use.

2. Add your domain

In the dashboard, open Domains and add the domain you want to shield. Pick the connection lane that fits how your site is hosted:

• One-click — supported registrars approve once and the DNS records write themselves.
• One-paste — on Cloudflare, paste a scoped API token; records are written for you; revoke the token after.
• Copy-paste — add two DNS records by hand with a guided verify. Works everywhere.
• Zero-DNS installs — a WordPress plugin, Cloudflare Worker, Vercel middleware, or Netlify edge function that runs inside your own hosting instead of touching DNS.

3. Choose a mode and set prices

• Signpost — humans stream through; agents get pointed at your paid catalog. Best when the site should stay free for people and you’re selling an API or dataset.
• Toll — agents pay per page (or buy a pass) to read the site itself. Best when the content is the product.

Set your per-page price or pass prices in the dashboard — you can re-price live whenever you like. The agent pays the platform fee on top of your price; you keep 100% of list (see Fees).

4. That’s it — discovery is automatic

Your domain now publishes a machine-readable menu (/.well-known/ai-catalog.json and /llms.txt) and appears in the Superspice directory. Agents find you, see prices, pay, and get served — and you watch it happen in the dashboard.
